Welcome to Jamie M Swanson Photography!

Thank you for visiting Jamie M Swanson Photography! Brandon and I are a husband and wife photography team located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin but we love shooting weddings in Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton, Door County, Greater Wisconsin and beyond. I also speak French fluently and would especially love shooting an amazing destination wedding in France! (Yes, that's a blantant hint - please bring us with you to Europe! Italy, Spain, England, Norway...we'd be totally game!) If you want us at your wedding, we'll do our best to make it happen.

Modern Wedding Photography

As modern wedding photographers, we believe that ideal wedding coverage should be the perfect mix of photojournalism and fine art. We want you to look at your wedding album and be transported back to the moments and memories of the start of your life together. You should have photos that convey emotion and memories as well as artistic portraits to hang on your walls. We don't carry around checklists of photos to "remember" to take, but rather observe and capture the moments as your wedding day unfolds. Take a look at some of our recent weddings to see for yourself. 

While our main focus is currently wedding photography, we are also available for a limited number of portrait sessions. We want to grow with you as you grow in your marriage and family. Jamie especially enjoys photographing newborn portraits and senior girls, while Brandon has a knack for making senior guys look good.

Carnival Trash the Dress at the County Fair

When my friend Trisha asked me if I would be interested in doing a carnival Trash the Dress shoot at the Washington County Fair together, I was ridiculously excited and of course said yes! Jen, who was just married in June, was game to spend one more evening in her lovely dress before getting it cleaned in order to have some amazing images. I also included a few fun outtakes at the end…I couldn’t help myself!

For those of you who haven’t heard of “Trash the Dress” sessions, you don’t actually “trash” your dress. You simply do a photoshoot in it one more time before getting it washed. This allows you to do more creative things that you wouldn’t otherwise do on the day of your wedding for fear of getting it a bit dirty. If you’re interested in doing something like this, let me know and we can discuss some amazing things we can do before cleaning and storing your gorgeous dress away in a closet. I promise, it’s lots of fun and you won’t ruin your dress!
