Far too often we as photographers have loads of photos of our kids and family…but we’re not in any of the photos because we’re behind the camera. So Trisha from Faber Photography and I decided to do a family portrait exchange. She captured us in these awesome family portraits, and I managed to get these shots of her and her family. Isn’t her daughter just gorgeous like her mommy? It was a ton of fun, and something we’ll probably continue to do each summer as our families grow older and change oh so quickly. Here’s just a few from our really fun and amazing session!

Well, I promised you some cool shots…here you go! Some of my favorite shots to date. I especially loved taking these because I got to roam around the old family farm a bit again. It’s been in our family since our first language was Polish. I spent lots of time there in the summer as a kid, so it was neat to be back. Patty’s Family Portraits

I had an amazing shoot with Patty and her kids just this week. Patty was looking for family photos that were a bit more “edgy” than your traditional shots which is right up my alley! It was an amazing time and I can’t wait to edit the rest of them! Here’s three of my favorites for now, though.

Last week my Grandpa Thoma passed away. While a death is never easy, it’s nice to see all the family again. I brought my camera (I always do!) and had to share a few shots from the day. So let me introduce you to a few of my family members.

This is my brother Colby. Isn’t he handsome already? I told him to give me a serious look and man did he turn into a model! I LOVE it!

Next are my second cousins Meadow and Kelty, sweet little girls!

Here’s a shot of me and my dad (taken by my uncle Gerry who also took the photos for my wedding). I don’t get to see my dad as often as I like, but I sure love him.

And finally a photo of my aunt Bev and uncle Jim. They have one of the best marriages I’ve ever seen (and I lived with them for awhile in college so I know it’s the real thing!) I pray that my husband and I can love each other and joke and laugh around each other as much as these two can when we’re retired, too.
