You may remember Daniel & Bethany – they were the winners of the Free Wedding Photography Giveaway from earlier this year offered by my colleague Andy (of Andy Stenz Photography) and I. Daniel & Bethany held their wedding in Madison, WI and it was such an elegant and meaningful wedding. They met while serving in missions overseas in Africa and were one of the most laid-back and peaceful couples I have worked with all summer. I can’t think of anyone more deserving to have won the contest and the free wedding photography. They’ve both given much to help improve the lives of others, and it was an honor to work with them.
Their ceremony was held at St. Patrick’s Church in Madison, followed by a few portraits at the UW-Madison Memorial Union Terrace. After that we headed to Restaurant Magnus for an intimate reception and spectacular food.
- This was one of my favorite captures of the day – this here is what all fathers should be like. Thank you for loving your children so well.
- Bethany & Daniel assigned tables based on places they had been with a fact on the back as to why it was important to them. I loved this idea as it gave the guests something to discuss about Daniel & Bethany as they conversed at the tables.
- The Best Man gave the best toast to the wedding couple from all the weddings I’ve been to all year so far. Heartfelt with a bit of roasting, but completely appropriate and honoring to the couple. It doesn’t get much better than that.
